Postpartum and
Pregnant Moms

Up to 1 in 5 women in general, and up to 1 in 3 African American women, experience a postpartum mood or anxiety disorders (PMAD). These conditions don’t discriminate based on background, income, or lifestyle, and they can appear during pregnancy or after birth. The good news is that with help, you can feel better. Counseling can reduce symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and help you regain your sense of self.

During Pregnancy

Pregnancy can bring excitement and unexpected challenges. If you have a history of anxiety or depression, an unplanned pregnancy, limited support, or other major life changes, you may be at higher risk for PMAD. We can help you prepare by creating a personalized prevention plan, building your support network, and addressing concerns before baby arrives.

Postpartum

Postpartum changes can feel overwhelming, exhausting, or even isolating. Whether you’re experiencing irritability, anxiety, sadness, intrusive thoughts, or simply ‘Not Feeling Like Yourself’, we provide a safe space to process your experiences and develop strategies to cope.

We support mothers by:
